Embracing Mountains and Clouds
The stonework “Embracing Mountains and Clouds” tends to be mild, concise and different from the complex style of his previous works. The artist often feels a kind of flowing tranquility in Hualien, and experiences the inward and outward blowing of breeze on the hill as well as the flaring waves in the Pacific Ocean. As closing eyes and listening to the subtle aura of atmosphere blowing through your body, the mountains and the streams while facing the magnificent mountain, the turning of seasons and climates can enlighten your spiritual power. The stonework can be felt the microscopic carving of impressionistic empathy of “atmosphere”, and be visualized as towering peaks and ridges or apparent axe-cut mountain wall. By way of the penetrating light and shadow in the stonework, the poetic aura is wandering and resounding throughout the work.
