Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The Artist Tobel makes a wide to narrow spiral to create a three dimension spiraling space which could face outside and also inside. The space can extend without limit like the eternal galaxy beyond the time. Either beginning or end point can’t be found. Tobel thinks the stone is from old history, and he finds his own heart and the eternal power through the stone center, through the center of space and time. He wants to change the traditional sculpture skill with his spiral series, which was curved from the inside stone to outside to display a creative skill. It is the point he thinks about the universe and also expresses on his work.
