Metamorphism
250*110*250

The artist uses two erective white marbles to present the wings of a butterfly by complanating semi-figurative performance. By way of the conception of insects transforming into butterflies, the artist expresses his impression upon the metamorphism of life. The scales and texture of a butterfly’s wing are undulatory and uneven; while in different timing, through the changes between the projection of sunlight and the shadows, and a hollow in the middle of the stonework, it can be penetrated to see through the outside view. The round hollow metaphorizes the entrance to the past, the present and the future. By the light revealed through it, viewers can symbolically see the passage of time, the gorgeous metamorphism of life and understand life would continuously reproduce and grow.
