The black marble is wound and penetrated by steel cables, and the bondage of steel cable has pushed the strong stone material to show up its tough resistance. The smoothie, bulge and embellishment caused by the tight tying make up the inner tension of compression and present the power of life “awakening”. The artist wants to metaphorize that under tangible restraints, the honest and sincere power deeply concealed in human’s heart can be truly revealed by the attempt of brewing. Simply speaking, this work expresses the very awakening being searched all the time in predicaments with the hope of shaking off bondage forever. It is abundant in luscious connotation of self-exploration that is eager to release redundant constraints and turn out to be the liberal id.
