Stone Sculpture
Up To The Sky
The Artist Jaya Schuerch likes to create her products with stone and metal materials. She takes a lot inspiration from ancient mythology and she thinks an artist should create art from this basic concept to bring the audience into the mythology world not only to see the product appearance but also to experience and realize the truth. ‘Up To The Sky’ is composed by two materials, white marble and steel string. There are two three meters high rectangle pillars on two sides, and four white plates hanging by steel strings between the pillars. The plate size goes smaller upward, which shows the perspective to make the farthest subject disappear in the sky.
