Three Holes in Time & Space
100×80×250
The stonework illustrates that the artist tries to express time by stone, and he thinks that stone can exist for a very long time, even from faraway ancient time to nowadays, and from now to far-reaching future, therefore, he hopes he can pass on his ideas by stonework. The artist produces a serial of stonework in the relevant subjects of “hole”. Most of those works are carved a round hole to represent the hole penetrating time and space, while it also gets a flowing sense of wind and time. “Three Holes in Time & Space” is one of these serial works. In the marble cone, there are two holes and one uncompleted hole. All those holes are not in standard round form, but in a little bit distorted shape as if they can really roll us into another time and space.
