Transformation
When the artist learned to create stone sculpture, she imitated the works of Italian virtuoso Michelangelo and her creation later on was impacted deeply by Michelangelo. Both the basis of her stonework creation built up then and the impact can be found in the work “Transforming”. The work is made of three parts respectively depicting the parts of human’s right eye, nose and mouth which can be composed in different alignment, regardless in vertical or parallel, orderly or unorderly forms. And the composition of those parts means to emphasize that human’s images can be destroyed or created like games under dramatic situation.
