A Safe Place
Two columnar blocks are made from dissimilar materials. For one, the surface is covered with horizontal notches, highlighting the originally rough texture features of the stone. The other is obviously more smooth, yet embedded with several spiny cones. Featuring two different styles, the two stone block sculptures each convey a tension much like the jarring impact of conflict on a place of safety. However, the same color tone unintentionally reconciles the differences and conflicts between the appearances.
