Facing the Wind
Facing the Wind stands on the shore of Seven Star Lake like the statue of a winged Greek goddess. Its shape seems to be comprised of many irregularly shaped wings. Viewed from different angles, one finds new discoveries that are figurative yet very imaginative. The artist sculpts natural lines across the stone with a “cun-fa (texturing method)” rhythm to present a sense of dynamic motion as an object faces against the wind. Through this, the artist hopes to inspire viewers to ponder about nature within an even greater space for imagination.
