Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The white marble is like carpet gently covered on top of grass. The texture and color of the stone along with the rise and fall of lines strengthen the visual sensations of light and soft. Enjoyed through viewing, this work can also be touched. It invites people to use their hands and bodies to feel the subtle differences between the visual and tactile sensations. In addition to expressing local characteristics of Hualien, the lily flowers and butterfly bas-reliefs adds a poetic joy drawn from art and nature.
