Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

Atayal Breeze sits within the Taroko Gorge Scenic Area. Because the Taroko Gorge landscape is home to the Truku tribe, this work utilizes the diverse imagery of marble canyons and the tattoos and totems of the Truku tribe. Carved through the cun-fa (texturing) method, the lines across the marble surface appear to be wings vibrating against the wind that echo in harmony with the natural background. This introduces aboriginal symbols and culture to viewers in a minimalistic yet lively manner.
