Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

This work combines geometric form with organic elements---imprint of a palm. Through an abstract expression, the artist reveals the concept of “returning” by carving a triangular shape on an oval and clean white marble. The triangular stone is like a living organism experiencing various annealings and changes, then, returning to his marble matrix. When it comes back to the matrix, it has transformed into another texture---granite, and the deep impression of a palm is like a mark witnessing the transformation. The work alludes viewers to contemplate the life metaphors in it.
