Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

Filin Gheorghi used uniform bright and clean white marble to create the stone sculpture the “Ninth Moon”, that made the amniotic fluid of nine-month pregnancy extraordinarily crystal clear. There is no blood visible in this womb, but a kind of noble, selfless and pure love. On the moon of the ninth month is seen, the (pregnant mother’s) belly also gets as round as a full moon. Before giving birth, the connection between the womb and the child’s umbilical cord symbolizes a complete expectation for the baby’s feature to get more and more clear in the future in the scrambling and welling.
