Aurora
52*35*121
Aurora is the goddess of dawn in Roman mythology who flies to the sky every morning to open the East Holy Gate with her morning-fog-like hands so as to lead the solar vehicle of the Sun-God to announce the coming of dawn to the earth; she is also called Auroral Godess. The Greek word “Aurora” refers to the first light when the dark night turns into day time. By way of simple geometric lines and the surface tension of abstract figure, the artist pursues the dramatic tension of light in stone material and uses simple geometric molding as the metaphor of reservedly beautiful posture which leaves such romantic imagination display mythological verve of classical elegance.
