Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The marble stone of this work seems to be as sticky as clay and looks like a Rubik's Cube being twisted and torn up open. The cubes in the two sides firmly support the twisted center cube. With this work, the artist expresses the coexistent relationship between movement and stillness. At the same time, the artist also wanted to prompt viewers the following direction of thinking: If such a stone can’t be cracked but outstretched with so violent twist, then, what about men under immense stress? Everybody has his own strength and character like stones. While there are various challenges being invisibly external forces that make us no more the original tiny stone we used to be, rather having a newly shaped demeanor of life and a new ambit.
