Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

This work invokes the Zen-like charm of ink painting. Sculptor Tsung-hui Lin, freely and naturally draws a succinct and simple outline, cleverly refining the rock surface and sculpting lines, to portray the distinct look and large sleeves of Bodhidharma. Though regalite is particularly hard, blooming shades can still be applied as if from ink and brush, freely and humorously conveying the unrestrained temperament of Bodhidharma. In this manner, the calm and boundless aspects of his mind are opened and released.
