Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

This piece is made from a lenticular shaped diano real marble, a stone formed from compressed organic material of once living organisms. Although it features a faded color, it is the rocks exciting shape that led Tsung-Hui Lin to use it in his creation of a statue. The statue is of person that has a peaceful look on her face and is placing a qinyun. The work, Qinyun, features soft and round curves, eliminating all rigid edges of the stone and leaving behind something that is tranquil and not abrasive. The piece radiates a leisurely charm.
