Attract - Disgust
93*65*27
Greek artist, Antonis Myrodias, uses the vocabulary of modern sculpture to create the work, Attract - Disgust. Using abstract geometric contours that alludes to an anthropomorphic interaction, the artist creates a pair of surfaces that at attract and a pair that repel. It hints at the many facets of social relations that lead to intimacy and alienation. Such interpersonal bonds can be strong as a stone or fragile as a thin layer of ice. Although people’s behavior towards one another is often erratic or inconsistent, people remain interdependent. It is like a tangram that can be arranged into many patterns.
