Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The Italian word “METAMORFOSTI” means transformation. The artist tries to use his gentle, embellishing and masterly stone-sculpture skills to transform and divert the original status of stone. No matter a rounded body, a tightening interface, or the feel of hand-touch as soft as a bowl, all can be carved and presented by his hands to become a harmonious whole. Artists always base on an interesting viewpoint and use various verves and atmospheres to remember toys in childhood, constant play grounds, faith fetishes and so on. All those past happenings are chewed by memories and transformed into fantastic shapes. This stonework is the very one of the artist’s fantasies which is presented by way of the growth and transmutation accumulated in his stone-sculpture craft.
