Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

For the artist, the sculptural form is not the most important thing, and what he’s interested is space; therefore, most of his creative themes are space and strength. The stonework “Signal of the Galaxy” is an interesting combination of a cone and four cylinders which complicatedly present the practical and impractical objects. It uses four tilted cylinders to support the cone where there is another diagonal cylinder on the cone pointing to the sky like a force climbing to the sky. Such simple form is just like the physical phenomenon exploring the motion of celestial bodies, no matter it is balanced or not, the form always adjusts and reconciles it intangibly, and the tactile impression of vision is like a structural function.
