Fish
The artist uses naturally falling black granite to create this stonework. After several elaborations and reserving the original fracture traces, the stone looks like a lively and interesting live fish. After the stone is polished and presents shiny, crystal quality and rough texture, the artist leaves the impress of knife and the primitive savor of nature. He leaves a space for thinking between meticulosity and arbitrariness, and let the impression comes from viewer’s heart and let them shape their own sensation. The glittering surface of the stone material is as if fish scales become bright under the shining of water wave. It illustrates a fish’s moving by swaying its tail and gives the scene a sense of movement and vitality.
