Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The artist is skillful at carving out magic space such as using neat geometric structures to produce multileveled visual maze. Such trick is shown once again in the stonework of “Windows over the Danube”, which leading viewers to open a window to enter another, and that’s going on and on until the window of eternality is gradually passed. Among the open holes which provide endless crosses and interlocks, viewers’ eyes are led with the movement of peripheral sight to a long and wandering river of illusion and hallucination. The artist does set up a beautiful and mysterious sorcery, but he also provides tangible window frames to carry us to surpass the real and reasonable field to reach the other domain full of spirituality.
