Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The artist uses human body as the base of the modeling, and considers that the affection is always expressed in the most intimate feeling of human beings. The series of stone works “Hold Hands (Romance)” mean to express the love for wives, as well as the affection for children and the caring love for parents; all of these are transformed from figuration into abstractive theme. This work simply and abstractly displays the complexion of a pregnant female’s body with a hollow in the middle part which irregularly rhythmic lines delicately forms the imagery of a baby inside her belly and expressing the connection between the mother and the child’s hearts. Such interdependent relationship of life is concisely and purely enjoyable in visual sense.
