Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The artist takes the bridge as his subject of stone sculpture, and plans to turn the connection of engineering structure and arts into stone sculpture, hoping it would create a new type of sculptural art. In the work, the artist tries to raise a connection between the contracture of a bridge and sculpture, then, uses rationally structural calculation to insert the way along the bridge into the scenic landscape. At the first glance, the work seems to be a structural model of bridge, but the artist expects to integrate his creative idea with it, so as to explore how to make the wind, river, land and so on in the nature resonate with the arts. It would give bridge new meaning, connect the nature and human being, and sensitively resolve the conflict between construction and deconstruction, and make unexpected things generate a series of visual and conceptual associations or conflicts, hoping to get a balance in between.
