Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

Autumn falling leaves are always withered, folded, curled and undulated. The leaf made of marble silently lies in the arms of Mother Earth. There may be someone having passed by, or the leaf has been blown down into two halves by the wind. It makes viewers contemplate various relationships between human-earth and human-nature under the same huge space. The artist is a naturalist who observes the environment keenly, and her works are gentle, mild and unadorned earthy with simple imagery conveying the information from the nature. The life process of birth and aging in the nature happens all the time. But what she perceives is the tranquil sound hard to be found at ordinary time.
