Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The artist uses the polished luster on the upper surface of the stonework to make up a contrast to the rough section of original stone at the four sides as if the contrast of field/kitchen and nature/home is simultaneously put into the same connotation of the proposition. The work is similar to the size of a table, with regularly aligned bowl concavities on the top which explain full display of dinnerware on the table, but it is also simple and symbolic indifferently that stimulates viewers to meditate the Asian table etiquette and diet culture. It is a metaphor-like indication showing that do as Romans do in different environment, no matter in the field or home, you can take it easy; no matter in rough or delicate environment, you can fell happy and content.
