Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The work is made of white marble to express the softness and exquisiteness of female body. The concise lines illustrate a kneeling woman who seems to take off her cloth or lazily gives a stretch. There are feelings projected from the narrative content of the high lifting hands and the extreme concise muscle texture displays female’s delicate and smooth quality. The curve of female body is only expressed by symbolized changes of the strength in the surface. When the ridges shaping the body’s beautiful streamline is combined with the abstractly lineal aesthetics and the stable sense of power presented by the upright kneeling of the rounded hip, we seems to see a beautiful, soft and vivid female body under the changes of lights and shadows.
