Taroko Gorge
Six marble blocks are pieced together to form two large towers, with a slit in the middle. At close distance, the magnificence of the impressive tower echos the grandness of the Taroko Gorge. Although this work is inspired by nature, it does not try to recreate the guise of nature. Echoing the energies of the Taroko Gorge, the sculpture work is the manifestation of the artist’s catharsis. In a statement by the artist, Tsung-Hui Lin: “only nature can transcend time and even break free from spatial and temporal limitations to last forever.” The work creates a similar awe as the grandness of Taroko Gorge.
