Stone Sculpture
Wind
110x50x85 cm
The artist is good at carving female subjects. The work is named “Wind”; as in reality, the wind cannot be seen or touched, but the existence of it can be sensed when it is gently blowing over. If the French impressionistic artists can use brushes and pigments to catch the immediate scene of their paintings, then, the sculptor can use chisels and marbles to hold down the gentle perception of a breeze touching skins in the twinkling of an eye as if the sculpture itself has been made by the blowing wind. The stone being carved has not been sharp and rigid any more but bearing a kind of mellow and rhythm, while the sculpture has concretely displayed an imagery of being baptized by wind and erecting honorably in the natural world.
