Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The work presents the synoptic image of naughty boys by the carved portrait of militant boys. It creates a spectacle of quarrel among three children, and those restless and competitive boys might argue and fight for whom can be the first one to play the toy lest he would be the last one. In the front of the composition, there is a boy standing like a hero with a straight and impressive look; while the other three children make a racket endlessly with dynamic body actions. The dynamic and static situations long with the sparsity and density of the work as if the figures in it have got vitalities. The figures’ bodies are carved roughly and the cutting lines of the chisels, curt countenances of the figures and their exact body lines are all reserved so as to grasp their actions appropriate and make the whole dynamic of the work more quickened and active.
