Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

By gravers, the artist concretizes the complementary lines and concept of yin-yang, inane-entity and stauchness-tenderness of Eight Divinatory Trigrams into the marble. By two curved rectangular stones tactfully interdepending together but the curves respectively moving its own way and apparently keeping parallel, the artist uses the work to metaphorize the interaction and interconnection between people as well as between human and the nature, while all of their existences are dependent on the earth. No matter the relationship is between men and the nature or among people, it is as opposite and complementary as the relationship between Tai-Chi generating and the two complementary forces it has generated; and all of them can reach perfection and harmony only by the interchange derived from complementarity.
