Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The artist thinks that “creation is not an operation but a presentation of inner mind.” His idea of creation is really reflected in the work “Carved Time” and most of his works of minimalistic concept. This work uses straight while lines which contains expressionistic style. Though the stone texture is quite hard, the soft curves and the buds grown out of vegetation-like area have covered the two masses and there are objects attached to it, as if all of them are living creatures and depicting the re-explanation of life in the artist’s heart. The two huge and hollow marble barrel-like masses are contacted with the pedestal by a small area which makes the work like clowns entertaining viewers with dancing.
