Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The sculpture is of a seated figure in contemplation, who seeks spiritual release. The owl is symbolic of a guide who plunders lives. And the rapidly rising fire or spiritual influence (or atmosphere) represents vitality. The female with closed eyes confronts the ambit of cutting off outer world and goes deep into her own subconscious; while the male side displays the existence of here and now. The combination of the two imageries illustrates that human being can penetrate their own inner world more clearly and well understand themselves.
