- Introduction
- In Japanese culture, cloth wrapper is a tool not only facilitating the carrying of belongings, but also able to wrap various objects according to the demands of their content. Here, the artist wraps a token of his feelings. Being thousands of miles away from home, he feels a nostalgic mood blowing over him. With a chisel, he materializes these feelings of yearning into a sculpture of heart-shaped wrap. For Japanese people, the color white symbolizes all good things. The artist makes good use of white marble to carve out a white wrap and send out a wonderful feeling of nostalgia.
