Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

An egg-shaped sphere is confined within a two-dimensional square. The artist, Fabrizio Dieci, uses soft, folded lines to convey a geometric pull from circle to square. Due to the clever design of the work, the soft lines wrapped around the geometric surface of the sphere and square are suddenly filled with a taut dramatic tension. Representing the struggles and constraints experienced by people as they live in a concrete jungle, this work prompts deep reflection.
