Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The Artist Jyong Lieh Fan likes to use abstract concept to create animal images. This piece is covered with irregular concaves to make a sea anemone structure. It looks like the cell can copy itself and born another one to grow in different structure. ‘Time And Displacement’ expresses the image travelling around different time and space and watching the change of ocean by ages. It also symbolizes an old body is laid on the reef by the beach and attacked by waves again and again. It is waiting for another new cell to replace itself, and waiting for next time displacement.
