Landscape---Point
300×125×195
The stonework “Landscape---Point” gets started from a point, then, extends the lines and finishes in the plane structure in the end which illustrates the construction of linear space between the void and substantial landscapes. The square represents the land, while the round strip shape builds up a “void” mountain-shape, and the stripe lying flatly on the pedestal represents the connotation of “water”; while the mountain and water are the projections of the artist’s nostalgia for his “home”. The white marble seems to have organic dynamics, as if an ointment is just extracted from a cannula, or a living creature is just emerging from water or ground to crane its neck to peer the outside world. Such connotation is not only a kind of restoration, but also modern which lively and impressionistically stretches the imagery of wrinkled landscape and the nostalgia of one’s homeland.
