The Dancer
150×140×215
The work is like a dancing girl who is lifting her hands and turning round and round. The amber stripe is her beautiful sash, while her skirt is swaying swiftly as rhythmic as waves. And the white marble reminds us of the aboriginal Taroko tribe’s white ramies and their traditional clothing of rhombic ornamentation with inlaid ancestral spirits. It makes us visualize a Taroko dancer who is dancing to the music in the forest and hill, he marches at a brisk pace as if a daemon freshly shuttles and drifts, and happily amuses himself with the ground. Such kind of leisure time can seldom be experienced by city residents.
