Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

Under traditional Asian values, the relationship between father and son is often restrained and subtle. As expressed by the work, the large and small cubes, as incarnations of father and son, are neither too close nor far from each other. The central link, an animated metaphor of attachment through blood, bound the two so intimately that they would remain entangled even if they advance in opposing directions, illustrating the subtle tug of war of father-son relationship.
