Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

Breaking down the traditional image of a basket, the artist replaces the cube shape with a ball to create a clever and creative basket. On the ball surface, box shapes are carved in a vertical arrangement, forming the weaving lines of the basket. The material properties of basalt are placed fully on display in this work. At first glance, the texture lines and color changes of the stone seem to be like stars amidst a night sky, full of fascinating changes. A basket from heaven carries all objects of the world, enabling viewers to experience the mysteries of nature together.
