Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The stonework “Curve” gets rid of excessive miscellaneous thinking and focuses on the personal inner reflections. The artist extracts the model of life from daily life, and the moist, rounded curve of female body presents the inner life of honesty. Omitting complicated details but choosing concise and simple modeling, the “Curve” subtly presents the texture of human body’s complex and private segment by the rounded nature and gloss of black marble. In the absence of the whole body, the curled torso focuses on the reality of the curvature by pristine texture of the stone material so as to convey the life connotation of dynamic-static and hardness-softness; furthermore, it provokes viewers to totally contact and caress the abundance and bliss of personal mindsets, emotions and desires.
