Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The stonework “Window” is made of black marble to create a long-bar shape with irregular curve like tranquil waves in the sea smoothly moving on. The stable bottom symbolizes the rock-like earth, such simple intention is used to express the infinite circulation of the waves in the horizon which connect the two worlds, while the five different geometric molds in the offing are like the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth which refer to a Buddhistic subtlety meaning something perfectly wise in life enlightens people or makes people feel refreshed suddenly; such elements are used to express the civilization and life on earth.
