Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

This piece ‘Silk Wash’ expresses the resolution and modest willpower of Chinese women by the image of soft and flowing cloth shape, which also represents women’s changeable hair flying through the wind elegantly. The flying soft hair is as smooth as the silk washed in the river, and the delicate carved lines on the sculpture is as gentle as Chinese women’s character. The Artist Shen-Chi Teng displays the sculpture skill easily through this work and turns a hard rock into silky cloth touching sense flowing by the wind as the sleeve of a dancing girl.
