Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The artist uses the hard edge of white marble to cut out the relationship between material images. According to the material features, he presents different textures of the stone by way of sculpturing, grinding and cutting so as to make the change in the form contain abundant beauty. The work “longitude” looks like a gorge with cutting walls, steep slope, rapids, and a river surrounding the whole ambit which makes the work seem magnificent. The imagery is also like a huge seed sprouting up to the sky. On the other hand, the rigidly correspondent and definite balance is like a contemplative life to the Lord; while its horizontal plane keeps extremely stable which symbols it depends on faith, virtue and love to reach it; as to the longitudinal momentum, it symbols that the more higher exchange with the Lord is aspired and it displays the artist’s inner status of “love” and his expectation of life.
