From the campus folksong “Snail and Oriole” sung by Yin-Hsia to the popular song “Snail” sung by famous singer Jay Chou, songs about snails are singing all around the corner from one generation to another generation, and in Taiwanese culture, snails are symbolized as the image of moving on to one’s ideal target diligently without stopping. The stonework compares the snail to human’s life journey. All of us are like small snails move slowly in our long life journey, though our movements are slow, as long as we are not discourage and compromised, and always believe one more step, and it would make us move nearer to our dream, then, we will make it in the end. Everyone is an independent individual; insisting on the ideal should always be the best.
