Communion
130x50x78

What the artist wants to convey is: “We are living in the same global village, regardless of you and me, we should love, support and care about each other, so as to grow together and make the society full of love and harmonious atmosphere.” The work “Communion” is carved into a semi-arc shape with the upper section appearing to be an upward curve and the two ends slightly atilt and opposite to each other making up a shallow U shape platform that dragged and connected with each other, symbolizing the conveyance, interchange and inseparable relationship between them. The part near the middle is a little bit contracted and the hollow is also contracted inward to the center like a whirl, which means to reveal the convergence between the on-again and off-again relationships among different (ethnic) groups.
