Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum

The Artist Tatsumi Sakai expresses the possibility of art, life and an open water gate with the image of rain water falling from the sky. This ‘Water Gate’ is a connection between the land and the sky with symmetrical wave curves in the border of two cold and hard square base prisms on two sides. Several oval shapes hollow out the space between two lines, and more regular horizontal lines decorate the surface on each side. It is a gorgeous combination to display the harmony of symmetry by the artist’s creative style.
