Introduction
My name is Marie Seborova. I am a professional artist – sculptor and medals designer. I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in Czech Republic in the studio of figural sculpture and medal and in Muthesius Fachhochschule in Kiel in Germany in the studio of stone sculpture (1990 -1996). After my studies I worked like an assistant in the studio of restoration of historical monuments. Since 2000 I have worked like an independent artist - sculptor in Czech Republic as well as abroad (Europe, Asia, Australia), taking part in a collectives exhibitions, international sculpture and medals symposiums. My works are installed in many public places and in public and private collections.
Generally the figure, the body are a basic theme of my sculpture work. The shape and the form, which is created by a relationship between the light and shadow, are the essence of my sculptures.
